Here is Episode 2, this is the first day that I try to nail the 900, the kickers were absolutely huge, so obviously some big wipe outs.
You need some big kickers to get the height and rotation and on this day Big Bay was providing, so check out 900 Series – Ep 2 to see if I can get it.
Since launching a series of products I have been working with Meca Graphics to come up with a site that is stylish and simple, explaining everything about the products in the collection.
We came up with www.hadlowcollection.com
To kick off the launch of the site I have a 6 part series that I shot in South Africa over the winter. It was my mission to land the first 900 in kiteboarding so check out the website and stay tuned to see if I finally nail it.
Last week I was down in South France for the Slider Party.
There was only wind on the first and last day so in between I decided to enter the Wake n Beach contest at Kum Wake Park’s 2.0.
It went pretty well, I was happy with my first run, I got 3 great slides and a Moby Dick off the kicker, that put me through to the final 12. I was pretty surprised with the level, Kasen Suyderhoud, Daniel Grant, Nate Perry, Keith Lidberg, Marc Shuster, Antoine Allaux, Ck Koester, Marc Rossiter were a few of the big names involved, these guys were throwing down, the rail riding was fun to watch so I really enjoyed being apart of the event and learning some new skills.
On the last day we had the kite comp, we were all lit on 7m’s, typical for Leucate, we had first round 20 min heats where the winners all went through to a 6 man 30 minute final. I was stoked with my riding before hand but as the final approached the wind started to pick up even more. I found the rails hard deal with in the gusty, strong winds, I got a few good hits and was nailing some wake style tricks like normal although Billy Parker was throwing down the whole week and put it all together in the Final putting me in 2nd.
Here is the 2nd video from the event, this is a session at the 2.0 cable system.
Here is an edit from my trip to Tarifa. I went down for the week to ride, test, film and meet up with friends.
I met up with Tom Court to film a short vid and this is what he put together.
The wind was pretty mental and it was hard to collect some good footage but it turned out pretty sweet in the end.
Cheers to the guys at Progression for contributing some clips.
