Just got the results in from the singles here in Canada, had an amazing heat and came off confident I had done it. Had Power, like 5 switch and doubles, basically riding for the criteria.
The place ain’t too bad, we had to move to a different spot today as it was the only place with wind, bit cold but pretty stoked to be in this position.
Lets hope I can keep it this time.
So the doubles went pretty bad, I ended up second in the end, in the first heat I had a 7 and needed a 9 and in the second I had a 9 and needed a 7, I rode well and a shame it went that way but after a judges meeting today I got to see some reasons. I think a lot of credit is going to taking off with 1 hand but I defiantly don’t want to ride like that.
Also amplitude is a big part so guess I will being adding a bit more of that into the next events.
Yesterday I had a cool little free ride and landed osMOBEsis, basically a Low Mobe but the pass is an osmosis (pass by tossing the handle from one hand to the same hand again).
Will try to get it on video when I get home and post it up.
Yesterday was the single elimination here in Germany, the wind was pretty good but dropped throughout the day, first I took an 11, then 9 , then back to 11 and finally 13.
I had some well good heats and was riding strong all day, I managed to land a new move in competition, the Slim 7, and got it pretty sweet and clean, I came up through the rounds to meet Tom Hebert from New Cal and then Kevin in the final, I had a well good heat starting with a front mobe blind, switch kgb, low mobe and double s blind, I was able to keep it going through the heat and came off the water pretty confident I had made it.
For a few days before the I headed to Germany I was back home down in Worthing.
Here is a small video of one of my sessions from one clear shot.
