  1. FFFaaaaagggggg

yeah im too good for the pkra…thats why kevin won, i didn’t really want it anyways

  2. Are you sure you REALLY want to compete next year ? Every interview I’ve seen you do this season all you’ve talked about is how you don’t like the way the PKRA judges score tricks and that to win you have to pull tricks you don’t enjoy so much any more. In this video you look miserable as hell. You also say in this video you’ve really enjoyed hanging with friends.

5 consecutive years of PKRA wins is going to be pretty hard to beat, perhaps its time to consider turning the page and doing something new ?

Well, if I’ve got it all wrong then please say so.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

  3. Give the guy a break, fair play to anyone brave enough to acheive this much and know his own mind. Quite something for 21 years old.

  4. I’m pretty surprised at the comments on here, WTF?

Aaron got the highest podium spots over the events that counted

    Aaron: 1st,1st and a 3rd
    Kevin: 1st, 2nd and a 3rd

Aaron came out on top in podium results yet Kevin won over some PKRA point system. That’s why Kevin won and probably why Aaron seems disappointed all the hard work didn’t pay off due to some “technicallity” not the riding.

Maybe Aaron isn’t into all the tricks but if Aaron wasn’t competing pushing the powered stylish side of of the PKRA riding then where would it be now and where would the new tricks come from?

No handed front flips, one handed take offs, sending your kite and passing 3 times?

Aaron’s still the biggest innovator on the powered wake style riding and invented the tricks that score highest in the tour today, do you still enjoy doing the same tricks as 5 years ago? Probably not.

I think it’s unfair to judge on this interview that was probably rushed in about five minutes

  5. I agree with J Streeter and Billy – I’m not knocking Aaron, I haven’t seen all the details about the PKRA scoring but from what I understand the whole saga seems very shabby and Aaron can rightly feel hard done by.

My point was that Aaron has consistently said – and for some time now – that the style he enjoys more and wants to push is not being scored as higly in PKRA events as he would like.

That boils down to 3 choices
    1. Aaron has to pull tricks that the judges will score well to win comps (which Aaron has said he is prepared to do)
    2. Persuade the PKRA to change the scoring system (hmm doubtful)
    3. Move on to new projects.

Sure he’s only 21 but many (most ?) pro athletes are in the same age bracket.

Yep this video in isolation wouldn’t mean much but watch Aarons interviews / videos over the last 12 months or so and the vibe I get is one of creeping frustration / unhappiness.

-> Compare with “Too much RedBull” Len10s vids ;-)

If something doesn’t make you happy why keep doing it ? I’m sure U2 could win Eurovison singing a Bucks Fizz cover version but W.T.F would they !

    Just my take on it.

  6. go round up your sponsors, round up some boots and go make a high def kite low feel good wakestyle kiting video in some sick new locations. make it all about ‘soul riding’ or some shit. just dont ride for the fucking PKRA anymore.

go take a bunch of old wake videos, watch the best riders do their sig tricks (scott byerly, pete rose 5 w/ nose grab – gregg necrason, elephant indy – etc.) and learn that shit to the point where even though you’re only doing a halfcab with no grab off a 4′ wave kicker you are oozing out style that speaks beyond the trick. put 50 minutes of FUCKING SOLID HIGH DEF RIDING FOOTAGE on a dvd and sell it for $40.

i feel for you !!! i wish you got out of competing on the top but DONT TRY TO CHASE THAT SHIT. YOU’VE OUTGROWN IT.

ps you should really take me when you go to film your new video! I’m ok on a camera and an even better wingman.

  7. Whilst it is sad for hadlow that he didn’t win this year you can not say that Kevin only won on a technicality. Kevin won because he was the best rider. Support who ever you want but do not rip it out of a rider just because they won and who you wanted to didn’t.

  8. Funny I thought the best rider had the best results

  9. He knows what to do and I think he didn’t need adviceg( 5*world champion…).

  10. Funny i thought the best rider was world champion and lets remind you of who that is, Kevin Langeree. Hadlow is a brilliant rider but his rein has ended, for now at least!

  11. Funny, usually the best rider gets best results and best results gets world champion but i am a fan of Aaron on Aaron’s site

  12. Your a true professional James Naish through and through

I’m sure you wouldn’t be fighting Aaron’s corner if he won in the same way and Kevin missed out

  13. Crack a smile dude!! haha.
Your still No.1. Pretty sure no one is going to beat 5x. Either way we all know who has taken comps in the right direction.
    Fully agree with Matt Cooper.

  14. Im no professional, im just a rider that supports Kevin and dislikes the way in which people spoke about him on here, and that is not quite true last year when Hadlow was behind and people commented on him in a negative way i stood up for him too. I don’t like anything bad being said about either one, they are both stunning riders, if i disagree with what someone has said i will say so.

  15. Billy, (neil/lewis?)

the comments by ‘james’ on here are not from me, who ever put them up did it to stir shit up and make it look like it was me, check the email adress and it will be clear, i was with family on the 24th when that last post was put up anyway.

fucking fed up with this as it has happened on other riders blogs /sites as well.

  16. No i am not James from Naish UK as i said!!!! im not even a very good rider thank you.

  17. Your still the best !
