China and NZ

A few weeks ago I was invited by Flexifoil to go and check out the factory in China where all the kites are made, it was a pretty crazy experience and is a country that really differs to anywhere else in the world I have ever been.
The Hong Hong streets were busy and crazy at night and over in China at the factory it’s was mad to see so many workers in one place and just how quick things can be made, seeing how the kites are assembled and all the processes they have to go through was well interesting.

I carried on my trip by heading on around the world to New Zealand. I got to Snowboard, Surf and Kite in some well nice locations, we saw a lot of the country in such a small time and I have to say I was pretty impressed. Although I only got to kite twice it still was a real fun trip, the potential is good and the people are really hospitable and welcoming.

On my last day I got a good session before heading to the airport, there were loads of people out on the water and watching so it was cool to put on a bit of a show along side a few of the local riders. People claimed they had never seen so many kites on the beach. Here is a short News Clip

Now I am back home planning of my next trip. Lets see where I end up.

    Oh god…it’s a shame..the flexifoil’s kites are made in china…! at the end?? high price and low quality?!?! What do you think?

    Haha Danny I am sure this is wind-up but if not inquire about the prices and also have a look at kite. Almost all kites are made in China.
