So the doubles went pretty bad, I ended up second in the end, in the first heat I had a 7 and needed a 9 and in the second I had a 9 and needed a 7, I rode well and a shame it went that way but after a judges meeting today I got to see some reasons. I think a lot of credit is going to taking off with 1 hand but I defiantly don’t want to ride like that.
Also amplitude is a big part so guess I will being adding a bit more of that into the next events.
Yesterday I had a cool little free ride and landed osMOBEsis, basically a Low Mobe but the pass is an osmosis (pass by tossing the handle from one hand to the same hand again).
Will try to get it on video when I get home and post it up.
wow thats sick that you landed an osmosis. i didn’t even think that that was possible with a kite! hopefully the judges will be able to see that you are passing the bar to the same hand and won’t assume your doing a regular mobe.

you know what, I was speculating the same.
1. Kevin has more height than you. I guess the extra height comes from a higher kite. Well, but if the judges don’t see that you will have to do the same.
(I saw Mario Rodwald training in Greece and was amazed that you can do inverted passes with the kite at the 12)
2. Kevin always does these one handed tricks which require a lot of strength I guess, but look so shitty in my eyes.
However, if freestyle in the judges eyes is more about difficulty and not so much about style…
well, again I guess you have to oblige or convince the judging criteria.
Who in the PKRA decides what the standards are, anyway?

its pretty good that u dont change ur style to win.
i dont like one handed tricks either. it doesnt look good.and as steven says it requires a lot of strength but has no style.
