Germany

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

So the doubles went pretty bad, I ended up second in the end, in the first heat I had a 7 and needed a 9 and in the second I had a 9 and needed a 7, I rode well and a shame it went that way but after a judges meeting today I got to see some reasons. I think a lot of credit is going to taking off with 1 hand but I defiantly don’t want to ride like that.
Also amplitude is a big part so guess I will being adding a bit more of that into the next events.

Yesterday I had a cool little free ride and landed osMOBEsis, basically a Low Mobe but the pass is an osmosis (pass by tossing the handle from one hand to the same hand again).
Will try to get it on video when I get home and post it up.

1st in da singles

Yesterday was the single elimination here in Germany, the wind was pretty good but dropped throughout the day, first I took an 11, then 9 , then back to 11 and finally 13.
I had some well good heats and was riding strong all day, I managed to land a new move in competition, the Slim 7, and got it pretty sweet and clean, I came up through the rounds to meet Tom Hebert from New Cal and then Kevin in the final, I had a well good heat starting with a front mobe blind, switch kgb, low mobe and double s blind, I was able to keep it going through the heat and came off the water pretty confident I had made it.

Lately

Sorry I haven’t been so up to date for the last week or so but I have been on my kiting pretty hard lately without much time online.
Since Fuerte I have been home for a bit and to main land Greece, now I am about to set off to Germany for the next leg of the PKRA.
I had some great kiting back home on the South Coast and has been good to chill and kite with friends.
Greece provided wind everyday and I got to see some sick kite spots all around the country.
I’m feeling pretty good for the the next event, I hope we get some good wind for it.
It kicks off on Saturday and last till the following Sunday, should get some wind within that time.
If I can gather any pics or video from the last week I will be sure to post it up.
Cheers.

Back up there

Today was the single elim, I had a pretty tough time ahead of me this morning, first coming up against Alex Pastor then in the crunch heat against Kevin and to finals against Seb Garet.
It was 6m weather for each heat and the conditions were harsh as usual, I had good heats all the way through, the best being against Kevin as it was so crucial, I stuck loads of good moves and just tried to find the gusts to launch as fast and powered as possible.
I was stoked with my riding and stoked to win the event, it put me back in first, I had great fun and great support from Ruben and Jason from Flexi and a bunch of people on the beach. It’s been a pretty sick day for England Lewis Hamilton on pole and up in the Cricket.
Gettin.
