Cable

Here’s a short movie of me at the Cable, I have been fully into it for about 8 months or so now, I find it helps kiting but to be honest I do it for fun, having such a steep learning curve again has been sick, I love learning this stuff and kickers and sliders whilst wake-boarding is insane fun.
These sessions are from Thorp and Princes in the UK and also the one here in Cape town.
Let me know what you think.
Cheers, Aaron

You are really rock at the Cable! Why don´t you use bindings for kitesurfing?

    cheers
    Fabio

  2. aaronhadlow Says:

    Thanks,
I do sometimes but I think it has to be perfect conditions to work well and look good.
Kickers and sliders there is no options and side shore wind with nice wave kickers is good but average conditions I would rather take straps.

  3. marcus Says:

    Dam Good…

And after the two crashes at the end…. How much water you got up you nose…lol…

great stuff, kip it all up

  4. rikool Says:

    Really nice!
It would be so great to see you wearing bindings while using a kite at the same time!
The sport deserve it… So much more stylish

  5. jahh Says:

haha daamn! looks so much better than straps!
what happened on the last crash haha did the rope snap or what?

  6. kiteloopy Says:

  10. aaronhadlow Says:

would you consider doing a comp in sheffield?? There’s a comp called ‘ten feet high’ that happens mid July. please consider. Give us Central/North people a chance for a meet and greet + you to get #1.

  15. Pierre Says:

congrats for mexico!! man i ve a question.. can you tell me if a liquid force concept (for kiteboarding) would be good for cable or if it would be better with a real wakeboard??? thanks man

  16. Tomas Says:

That looks real sweet i’ll say that but don’t you freeze without a suit? last time i did it with out suit i had to run 3,5 mile’s to get warmed up again.
I hope to keep seeing you at the PKRA for some nice action against Kevin. You both rock but if you ride against eachother it is a spectacel seeing that.

    Cheers Tomas

  17. Ally Beaven Says:

    Respect :)

  24. Tom Says:

Dude that was awesome, it’s inevitable just make the change looks soo much better.

  25. Bobby Boom Says:

Aaron, I thought that last trick was a prelude to new things to come. A full on front flip end over end. Not sure if it’s possible, but I thought you were going for it. Innovate man, you inspire us all!

  26. johnno Says:

aaron i think you coud be the next world champion of wakeboarding :D

    your amazing good in averything

    see yaa on the water

  27. Nigel Wintergern Says:

Aaron this is simply fucked! would strongly advise having nothing to do with the scoop i never saw things like this on there silly site. I think associating yourself with them will only take you backwards, like there bindings on the water have done to them. Heres an idea how about something like “AZZA’S TOP’S” which may include top tips of things you think would help everybody!

    keep on rocking,

    Big Nige in Guernsey

  28. aaronhadlow Says:

Pierre, I would recommend a proper wakeboard for the cable, kiteboards work but it just isn’t the same.
You’ll go way higher with the wakeboard.

  29. aaronhadlow Says:

Cheers everyone for the comments, nice!!
Gona practice more for sure, definitely would like to check out some events some time to see the level.

  30. Susi Says:

  34. raileyeyey Says:

    epic haha.

    extra respect hadlow ;)

  35. Tijn Says:

Nice one, are you also wakeboarding behind a boat? Looks super sick when one launches a frontmobe off the wake!

  36. Abbi Says:

hey Arron, what board and binding are you using?

    thanks

  37. onslo Says:
  38. aaronhadlow Says:

Thanks for your support and great idea,
But Nige, lets face it, its back to the old argument of “if we will solve the argument of whether straps or bindings are better”.

  39. Rui Neves Says:

Hey Nice moves man and some nice craches heheh don’t stop your evolution allways grow up and get next level ;) Be cool! GL to PKRA! 5X champ? Kick them asses! ahhaha Stay ;)

  40. pile Says:

    really nice cable moves ……….

  41. aaronhadlow Says:

No I have never used a wakeboard behind a boat but would love to give it a go to try the flat passes, i’m sure it way harder though.

As for the board I ride, I used to have a Substance 138 but snapped it, now I have a 138 Watson Pro. I used to use the Escalade kite bindings but got them mainly to try with a kite, they also broke, I have now just ordered a set of Vantages for the cable.

  42. dave Says:

    rude rude rude dude
Sick stuff looks like fun harder than kiting though

  43. Ian Says:

    Sick man!! Your style rocks!!!

  44. ULF Says:

seems you can break everything! Just like me ;-) (broke 2 Boards for one day cable) Your double-S-Bend is just huge! Keep rockin it. Much fun at PKRA

    this is awsome!!

I like it, and i like the music ;)

to which locations are you coming through pkra this year?
    also in fuerte again?

    see ya

  48. Johnny Says:

Hey A, i was thinking about asking colin to sort me out a board for my union bindings, but i think it might proove to much proto time to get it spot on.. what do you think or should i stick with Liquid force team boards like the recoil - silvester style. Cheers fella congrats on 1st.

  49. aaronhadlow Says:

I’ll probably be doing all the PKRA’s this year, for sure I will be in Fuerte.

  50. aaronhadlow Says:

    Johnny
You should defiantly approach Colin at least to see what he says, he a amazing shaper and would probably be able to sort something pretty sick for your bindings.
Don’t know much about the liquid kite boards but customs usually turn out better in my opinion.
    Hope this helps,
    Cheers, Aaron.

  51. James Says:

Yo Aaron i will prob be helping set up the KPRA event in Canada this year what are some things that have made the event alot of fun for the rides that the organizers can do?

  52. Johnny Says:

Sweet fella, i spoke to colin today and he is sorting me out :D when you next comming home to goring/wittering? You’ll have to try it out he seemed pretty hyped about what he could do with it. Cheers!

  55. harry Says:

Sweet riding aaron! When I first say you kiteing I thought you started on a cable because it looked a little bit like the u.k. cable style by “sick” Nick or Ben.Now that I say you riding the cable nice transfer from kite to cable.
    have fun riding

  56. Lewis Says:
