We woke up this morning not expecting wind, but getting to the beach the doubles had already began and the guys were out on the 12’s and 13’s meters.
The wind was up and down as the dark clouds passed by but it would usually stay the same for about 10 minutes, just enough to finish your heat.
As the heats went by it was getting closer to my one, I went out a few heat before to check out the condition and make sure I was making the right kite decision. Once 20 minutes had passed I was time to compete, Yuri had beaten Ruben so he was who I would be facing.
My heat started off well, I landed a Low Mobe, Slim, Switch Slim, Flat 3 off some chop, 313 and a Switch KGB all in my first 5 runs, that made me confident for the rest of the heat. After that I Landed a super powered S-bend 3, NOB (Nuclear Olay - Blind) and attempted a Wrapped Boschmosis amongst some other moves.

The second day of the event came over sunny but there was no sign of wind, we had a cool day just chilling on the beach, then later in the evening going to check out the RedBull slider park which will be the second discipline.
This morning it looked hopeful, getting down the beach we arrived to see the start of the doubles, it looked light but the guys were powered on their big kites, Lewis powered through his first heat but got knocked out in the following due to his injured ribs.
In the afternoon we hung out on the beach for a bit but after the wind started to drop and by mid afternoon it was certain it wasn’t coming back.
About 20 minutes north of the event site is the destination of the sliders, apparently the wind gets stronger down there so we went to check it out and maybe do a bit of a filming session.
Arriving it was light but 30 minutes later it started to pick up, Ruben and I went out for a session but it just wasn’t enough wind to hit the obstacles properly, I still gave it a go though, at one point it came up just enough to get some speed but soon after it dropped, it worth the few minutes though, I was able to cross the flat bar land a 3 of the end, I also hit a 540 of the kicker so it didn’t turn out so bad.
