I just come from the award for the RedBull KitePunk’s, it just got announced that I won!!! Stoked. Ruben was second which was cool and then also to his surprise Neal, fellow England mate, came third which was well good to see. Today we had another day of good wind, we reset the obstacles for better viewing and then hit the water around 4:00, once the wind had set in. Mostly I hit the wall ride and flat bar but I also hit the smaller kicker as well, these were all close together so it made it easy to just go around in circles sliding each piece. Today I finally got my 900 along and off the wall ride, that was the highlight but I also got some pretty smooth back side 360’s over the flat bar, my kite may have well been in the water, that was sweet. So yeah, that was pretty much it, the event was sick, thanks to everyone involved, I think everyone had one of the most fun trips here this week.

On the 3rd day of Kite Punks the wind filled in, it was cloudy and not the prevailing wind but the sliders were set, so everyone rushed to get out on the water. I took most of my time to nail the flat bar and kickers, the wind was a bit gusty so I wanted to take it easy at first. I had fun and soon started nailing 360’s across and off the slider, at one point I almost got a 720 but I missed the bar as I came into land.
The next day turned out to be great, there was no wind in the morning but it picked up throughout the afternoon until we were powered on 12’s. All the sliders were set up perfect, I ended up riding all the obstacles but having most fun off the kicker and A-Frame. Late afternoon the we came in for a break, the wind had picked up for 9 meters so most of us came in for an hour of so. Later I went straight back out, one thing I hadn’t tried was the wall ride and I had been exited to ride that for the whole trip. Once I went out, I went straight up wind to hit it and rode it the whole session, this was the most fun and I think it must be the best obstacle in the field. I had a really good ride on it and managed to get a 720 across the whole thing, I was stoked, I also made a 360 up and then board slide across the top. I had a well good day and then finished it by taking a few runs over the massive kicker, I grabbed the bar on the 720 but kept getting nailed from the height, it was all good fun though and was just good to be out there with all the guys.
Everyone was riding well and having fun, Ruben was taking everything full on which was good to see, Neal was styling everything to the max, Leeshai was getting bruised all over the place and Janek walked home bleeding, no one was hurt too bad though which made it fun.

My first event of the year started off in Spain. The 07 KitePunks was lining up to be epic and arriving up at the beach we were proven right. Arriving La Magna, Murcia it was good to meet up with some friends and catch up, we arrived to the spot early afternoon, there was no wind but you couldn’t miss the sliders! THEY WERE HUGE.
This year there is going to be 7 obstacles, let me run you through them….
Flat bar, just a simple low, long slider.
Whale Slider, shaped sort of like this ~, you go up, down then launch off the end.
A-Frame, Up, along, down, simple, but quite big!
Trosion, Up, Along, Up again! You can launch off this slider huge if you get it right but for me I think it will be one of the hardest one in the field. It’s also quite big!
Wall Ride, This is twice bigger than last year, its massive, I’m looking so forward to getting on it, It is basically a 45º angle facing side on to the wind.
Kicker 1, a kicker the same as the previous year.
Kicker 2, twice big, it basically the biggest one I have ever seen, I am so excited to hit this, it’s amazing!

For 2007 I decided to upgrade my profile and image. Since January I have been working hard on a number of different projects, first off let’s talk about the new site.

New Site:
It is coming to a realization to many people now that the Internet is a huge media source and the perfect way to get known and recognised. From now on I have decided to give something back to all you guys online and logging in by releasing Videos, News, Competitions and much more on a regular basis.

Videos are going to play an important roll, not only is there going to be the latest moves, which I’m sure some people love to see, but I came to think that people are also intrigued by interviews, equipment stats, my views on certain subjects and insights into the competition scene and my spare time, that’s why there is going to be a minimum of 1 video update a week.
